I have a 80 Mhz ProwerPro 601 with on board RAM and 1MB secondary cache. ROM version v1.12. I would like to upgrade the CPU chip to the 100Mhz version. Can this be done with out trading it in for the PP601 without onboard RAM. I would guess that my board with a 100 MHz chip would out perform the new 100 MHz ProwerPro 601 without onboard RAM. I would not like to give up the PP601 onboard RAM. Tom. 70466,427

The 100 MHz board does not allow for memory expansion. You can upgrade your existing card to the 100 MHz flavor, but you will not be able to install any RAM on the card. As of now, there are no plans for a 100 MHz board with memory expansion. If an announcement is made, you will be able to find it in our forum here on CompuServe (MACAVEN, Section 6, Software Library). Thanks for your continued interests in DayStar products.
