Hi, I'm new to Compuserve, but not to Imagine. I need help on bones. I have no problem making a single boned object articulate, but when I try to create a multiboned object, I get stuck (e.g. hand). The problem occures when I try to connect the second boned object (ie finger) to the base of the hand. I can get one finger to work on the hand, but when I try to "hook up" the second finger to the hand, I can't get the first or the second finger to update to their new positions after rotating their axis… even after making sure I've redefined (updated) my Default state. Any help would be apprecicated. Thanks -Vivax

Hi Don, Welcome to CIS, and the Graphics User Group forum. Now, lets try and see what's going on with bones. >> The problem occures when I try to connect the second boned object (ie finger) to the base of the hand. << Can you clarify this a bit? Are the fingers and base of the hand a single seemless object? Or are the fingers seperate from the base? Assuming it's one object, with only the bone axes as children, try thr following. Delete the DEFAULT state, entire state. Then create a new Default state clicking on grouping and shape. Sometimes using UPDATE on the Default state can cross some wires. <g> If this doesn't fix it, please give us a little more in terms of specifics to what you are doing, and in what order. -GreG

Greg, thanks for answering my messages. I'll try what you suggested and get back to you if I am still stuck. It's great to be here! Don
