Hi Don, Welcome to CIS, and the Graphics User Group forum. Now, lets try and see what's going on with bones. >> The problem occures when I try to connect the second boned object (ie finger) to the base of the hand. << Can you clarify this a bit? Are the fingers and base of the hand a single seemless object? Or are the fingers seperate from the base? Assuming it's one object, with only the bone axes as children, try thr following. Delete the DEFAULT state, entire state. Then create a new Default state clicking on grouping and shape. Sometimes using UPDATE on the Default state can cross some wires. <g> If this doesn't fix it, please give us a little more in terms of specifics to what you are doing, and in what order. -GreG
