Thanks Steve. As long as I'm sending you this message, I would like to ask a favor of you. As an owner of a 130XE also, I have yet to receive any word from Batteries Included concerning the Paperclip 130 update. I sent in my registration form the same day I got it, but to date, no word. It's possible my registration got lost in the mail. As co-author, is there anything you can do? I can send them my original disk as proof of purchase. Any info will be appreciated, including an address or phone number. I still use my 8-bit, although I probably will spend less time on it as I delve into this beautiful monster, unless Commodore bellies up and we all get burned. Thanks, Bob.

Bob, Which update are you talking about? 1.2 utilizes the extra memory in the 130 for more text storage — 2.0 (which started shipping a couple of weeks ago) has a built in spell checker. At any rate, your best bet would be to call BI and ask what the situation is with updates. Normally they want your original disk (since it's unprotected make sure you have a backup before sending it in) and either $10 or $15. Call them in Toronto at 416-881-9941.
