Yes, That is a minor problem, but if you have a clear line…it is almost fail safe!! BTW, what is your term?? And..I just though I would post the control-f hint for people who want to save time..it works on lotz of BBS- and compuserve.. Does it work with other protocols? Cya Steve

Steve, No, it doesn't work with protocols that don't use the ^F (ACK) for acknowledge of block. The terminal program I'm using (1 of many right now) is a beta test program. While you are free to post the information, you may end up with a lot of unhappy folks unless you strongly warn them that the transfer WILL fail if ANY errors are detected. It will not recover. While you get almost twice the speed during the transfer, if it times out or you do get an error, and have to start over again, it can actually take longer than using standard Xmodem. As long as folks are aware of that, it's no problem. Don
