Before jumping on a trade-in that includes A1000 extras, like memory, please
consider your associates and friends in the forum. Not everyone here has
everything and who says the dealers have to take a slice of all the action?

How will the trade-in affect pricing? I've heard rumors that a NJ dealer
offered a Amiga-1000-with-$600 trade-in recently. Dealer price in onesies
on the 2000 is about $1280. What will the street price of 1000s be? I saw
a 1000 with RGB monitor and Panasonic printer in the local paper for $700.
Great deal! I tried calling, but it sold quickly. Also, what has been the
going rate for Amiga 500s? Are dealers selling them with 1 meg of memory?
My request was to those trading there A1000's in for A2000's that have
memory expanders designed only for the A1000. Rather than trade the
Insider, for example, in to the dealer for, say, $50, why not offer the
same insiders to those here in the forum without Insiders for $50.

WHy not use the A1000 specific device as a seperate trade in for an A2000
specific device — like the HD controller, bridge card, genlock card, etc.
