#68020 board wanted!!

TO ALL HARDWARE HACKERS!!
The latest Jameco flyer (a Belmont, CA based co.) has some new interesting
products for the Amiga market. They now carry the complete 68xxx family of
processors.
Here are the prices : 68010L10 $49.95
68020RC12B $199.95
68881RC12A $199.95
Now as I see it the combo of 68020 + 68881 has come down to $400. The CSA
68020 board with no memory for the 2000 is $1480 which puts the bare 4
layer board + support chips to $1080 (WOW!!!!!!). A 4 layer board should
not cost more than $50-$150. Support chips max at $100. These are all
single unit prices. For a quantity of 500-1000 these prices will be 30-60%
off. So here is the money maker (Perry are you listening???). Bring a
68020 + 68881 board for the 2000 for less than $850 ($450 without the
chips) and clean up the market. The prices are there, all we need are the
engineering hackers. Any takers??
Regards, Bill.
PS. Perry, what do you think?? Can it be done?? How is your 68020 board
compares with this? What stage is it on?? Just got this Jameco catalog
and I am in a euphoric state!! I want my 2000!!! (waaah! waaah!
sniff!)
