The new Digi-View software has a Pos/Neg switch which makes digitizing from
negatives easy – just set it to "Neg" and follow the normal routine, using
the RGB filters. Some of the "sliders" for adjusting the image work in
reverse, e.g., increasing brightness gives a darker picture, increasing the
blue makes the picture yellow, etc., but that's normal for negatives. You
need lots of light and a very good negative – Digi-View seems to show up
faults which wouldn't be obvious in a Kodacolor print.
HAM mode works well if you have lots of different colors all about the same
tone (i.e., they'd all be the same grey in a black-and-white print), but it
generates a line of random-color pixels where a light area meets a dark
one, so I don't use it much. I like 320×400 32-color, but .GIF doesn't
support it yet, so the samples I uploaded are 320×200 – have you looked at
them?

I want to to be about Live!, and I guess others feel the same <grin>.
