negative things _were_ given to WP Corp, EA, Aegis, New Horizons, etc., in a 'carefully, slowly, easily, and with sugar on top' manner. In some cases it worked, and in other cases it didn't. Serious problems deserve serious attention, and there comes a time when you have to get tough with a product. Some comapnies never learn, while others do. The author of ProWrite and a few members sat in CO for hours one night, with him trying to convince us that there were valid reasons for forcing his idea of the best colours in ProWrite. I could have been doing a lot of other things than trying to convince someone from the Mac world that lack of choice is not welcome on the Amiga, but I, and several others, stayed and kept at it. ProWrite now allows you to set your colour choices. If he had not seen the light, it would have been cause for comment on the message base. Take a careful look at Mike Scalora's messages to Ben. Mike simply does not want to hear the truth. He wants to be coddled. Well, the length of time they have had to put things right is getting to be excessive, and personally, I hope they don't have many more like him on staff, or the program never will get fixed. Finally, you say we are a knowledgeable group who can back up what we say with examples and fancy terminology. Well henry, sorry if the terminology is beyond you, but it's no excuse for ignoring the examples. That's call 'telling it like it is'. if a program crashes, it's broke. If it happens to be a program that is high priced, has been out for as long as WP has, it's not only broke, it's inexcusably broke. Would you prefer we back up things we say with lies, sugar coated praise, silence? I thought facts were best, but you obviously have different ideas on that subject. -larry
