I didn't like Hacker, not in the slightest. The first screen was interesting:
try to break into an unknown system. It deteriorated immediately. First, it
didn't let me really break in, instead it "let" me in with lots of fanfare.
Then the whole game ended! Left me doing "stupid work" pointing to the parts
of some dumb machine, then zooping around tunnels under the world. I thought I
was buying a game that would consist of breaking into an unknown computer
system and exploring it, trying to find security weaknesses. Instead it was
like that for about 10 seconds and then became a really stupid "spy vs. spy"
game. I wasn't amused. >Bela<
Bela;
I liked Hacker, I thought is was somewhat of a challenge, and when it
came out for the Amiga (December 1985) it was a great piece of software in a
very narrow field.
