The net it's being written for is the arcnet, which CBM bought the license from Ameristar (I believe). Arcnet is better than ethernet in larger topologies, because the token-passing scheme gets more efficient (and thus the transfer rate doesn't erode) as opposed to ethernet, where more nodes mean more overhead doing collision detection, and your throughput suffers. And the work continues. I'll let you know when I have more info. andre
