The Amiga version of ARC is compatible with the PC arc prior to the ARC-E.
ZOO, LZH, and ZIP files are compatible except that the AMiga version of
LHARC does not know about self-extracting archives. Within these limits,
you can use the MS-DOS version to unpack our files.

I've had good luck with ARC, ZOO, and LHARC. However, my version of LHARC
(v 1.13) on the PC has problems with files of the form '.filename'. I've
also had problems with LHARC extracting a single file from an archive made
on an Amiga.
