Betty- Ubetcha. Hey, maybe you can straighten me out on something. When I read these messages, there is always a sort of referrence to the original message to which the sender is replying: B 08-Jun-90 22:32:33 Sb: #107998-C beginner Fm: Betty Clay/SYSOP 76702,337 To: Steve Jones 72040,1511 To what degree is this automated, if at all (do my messages look like that)? Do I need to get " Sb: #107998-C beginner" from my cap files? Also, when responding to a responce, which # goes in the Sb line, the message to which one is directly responding or the original message? It sure helps to keep things in order. Well, thanks for all your help. Steve

CIS does all the work in putting that header except that you can control the name of the subject. If you are replying to a message, the subject remains the same automatically, also. If you want to see the message you left, go to the Messages! menu, select read by number, and then ask for message 108406, and you will see what your message looked like – just like all the rest!
