Hi. For what it's worth, another recommendation. I use a Hewlett-Packard
27S Scientific. They're around $70. Hex to 9 digits, binary to 38 digits,
octal to 13 digits. I don't know what the limit on decimal is. I can't
locate the manual at the moment, and I stopped my manual count at 199
digits. It evaluates parens as you enter the expression, so there's no
limit on nesting them. It has an equation solver which stores equations and
lets you recall them. I believe they can operate in up to 4 variables. It
does conversions, probability, statistics, date calculations, as well as
all the standard trigonometric, calculus, and geometric operations.
Anything that it doesn't do you can program into the equation solver. As I
understand it, HP also has another, the 16C, which is made specifically for
programmers.
