Hi There,
Sorry to but in but I see you mentioned the CM50. I presume you mean the
Philips CM50? I wonder if you can help. I haveone of these drives and I am
trying to get it to run under OS/2 2.0. The problem is that the MSCDEX prog
keeps coming up with "Incorrect DOS version". I don't suppose you have any
experience of running the drive under OS/2? Or any knowledge of OS/2
drivers for this drive?
Any help would be apprieciated.

Hi. Yes I have a Phillips CM50 and run it under DOS and Windows. I have not
used it under OS2 but am not aware of any reason why it should not work. A
lot of DOS users have had the same problem as you when running under DOS
5.0. The fix for them is either to upgrade to MSCDEX 2.21 or to use the SET
VER command under DOS which "fools" the drive into believing it is running
under the correct version.
I also live in the U.K. and have managed to get limited help concerning the
drive from Phillips IMS who are based in England. I have their phone number
somewhere if you still need help.
