Ok John here is the information about Superformance Video Backup: Rating: Good. Works with 2.0 Works with most (PAL)VCR's (they didn't mention NTSC-VCR's) You can backup either track by track or file by file. Personally I still don't know anybody using this device and after the reviews 3/90 & 9/90 plus some ad's I never heard anything anymore, so the best thing would be to call this company. John, in addition to Mike`s reply #58655: I used the Superformance Video Backup a few times. Unfortunately I was not able to get it to work to my satisfaction. However, there is an other manufacturer of an Video Backup – System called VBS and is from ROSSMOELLER Computertechnik also an German Co near Bonn. I had no problem getting this one to work. It work`s on all VCR`s if they are not older then 7-10 years. Including the delivery is a 2hr video-tape with Fish-Disk 0 – 480 on it. horst, Vielen Dank! Does the VCR backup from Rossmoeller work only with PAL VCR's? Is it also compatible with USA NTSC video machines? and of course, how many DM or $$ ?

Daniel, I checked the handbook from a to z and could`t find anything saying something special about NTSC or PAL. However, if you wish I could call Rossmoeller and ask. But to my understanding the recordingsystem is in this case not from any importance. The price for the complete packed was DM 198.- (equal to US$ 122.-). – Horst – Via Whap! from Germany
