To anyone willing to provide sympathy, information, & withhold abuse,
I just installed an NEC CDR-74 (it works fine & was easy) with a
T-130 card. My salesman just took the order. Now it seems that I need a
"sound card" to make complete use of the latest CD-ROM discs now available.
I don't want a microphone – ever. I don't want MIDI capability.
I'm not going to direct audio through a real stereo amp. I want to hear
the attached sounds through a small external speaker (don't get me started
on the absurdity of calling 3" speakers 4' apart "stereo") or 2 if req'd.
Did I do wrong to purchase the Trantor T-130? What's the best and
least hardware/software additions I need to make? Will anyone help me
through my confusion and ignorance? Thanks – Carl
