Since you are now using DRAW 3.0 the fonts you use are structured in the following way. TTF's are used first, AT1's second and then finally WFN's. The reason for this shift in font technology is the font handling capability of Windows 3.1. The TTF's and AT1's now also contain hinting. I will assume you are using TTF's in DRAW. If you go to your Control Panel into the Printers section, to Setup, Options, and finally Advanced, you will see a section on True Type Fonts. In this section you have several options. Without going into a long winded explanation you can send the fonts to the printer as AT1's, you can Substitute them for resident printer fonts or you can download them as softfonts. Refer to your Window's manual for a more thorough explanation of the steps involved. > 2. What happens if there is no near-equivalent? Will it print? Yes. Windows takes care of the TT font and it is printed as it is viewed. If you are not using TTF's and are using AT1's, Adobe Type Manager will take care of font handling. Refer to the AT1 manual for more info. Finally if you are using WFN's, if there is an equivalent resident PS font corel will automatically substitute it, provided the refernce in the CorelDRAW.INI is correct. If it is not the font is sent to the printer as curves, which results in very acceptable output. Any questions feel free to ask. Paul
