You are right. In DRAW ver 3.0 The Windows TT engine and the ATM engine
provide fonts for our use. Where they reside is up to these two apps. As
for WFN's this is where FontsDir comes into play. They can be wherever you
please, but *all* WFN's must be in this same area.

TrueType or Type 1 equivalents) are restricted to Corel's private font
directory? And I can use my other fonts wherever I stash 'em on my system?

One final detail: Does this mean I can choose to *selectively* install
Corel-supplied Type 1 fonts? In other words, I've got Palatino already, so
I wouldn't want to install your Palm Springs again; on the other hand, I
don't have Delphin, so I would want to install your Type 1 (or TrueType)
version (Dauphin). Can do?

Yes. Simply go into the fonts section of the control panel and
remove the appropriate TTF or when performing the install choose
custom and DO NOT install the fonts you do not need.

Paul, I was able to edit the Coreldrw.ini file to show Fontsdir=S:\Fonts
and access the WFN file directly off of the CD. That was a big WOW for
