#CorelDraw Image Shape
2 messages in this thread
I am using version 2 of CorelDraw and I am having a problem changing the
shape of an image. I scanned in my company's logo, which is circular, but
it came in with a square border. I converted the file and imported it into
Corel, where I saved it as a .CDR file. I can now do whatever
manipulations I want to the image, but I just cannot get rid of that
border. When I try to crop it, the whole image gets smaller, but stays
square. In looking at the manual, it seems like what I want to do is edit
the envelope, but when I select the image and get the nodes, the Edit
Envelope selection is greyed out. Do you have any suggestions?
Jaimie,
Ensure that the object you wish to manipulate is not part of a group. If
you select the shape tool and ths object turns into a blue dotted line,
then it is part of a group.
Ungroup it (if needed) and then see if the circle and square are one
object. If they move together when one or the other is selected they are
combined. Break them apart and *then* delete the square.
There is no cropping function in DRAW for vector graphics. Therefore, what
you are probably doing is resizing the object(s) selected.
