I've just installed OS/2 2.0 on one of our systems and would like to try
running 3DSr2 under it. If anyone can help me configure OS2 and 3DS to run,
I would be grateful. Or, if you can direct me to someone who has
accomplished this integration, I'd like to talk to them.
Thanks, Andy
Andy, this may be tough to take but you CANNOT run OS/2 and 3ds at the same
rimetime. 3DS uses VCPI method of accessing extended memory. This memory
method is incompatable with OS/2. VCPI violates the memory integrity of
OS/2. Our only hope is that 3ds switches to DPMI method which is supported
by OS/2 and MS-windows. I have seen messages that seem to indicate that the
switch to DPMI is a low priority. Animator-Pro alos has the same
limitation. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news. Doug.
