Jim, PMJI, the power plug is for a drive if you don't have enough leads on your power supply, you should see about 5v DC from one of the pins with a voltmeter. I've seen this before on tape drive controllers. Mike

Thanks Mike. Should have known it was an output device from its design. Actually it did dawn on me after I posted the question because I'd just installed a 486 chip fan and had to use a similar plug. I've been told my Pioneer 604X is in and I go to pick it up this morning. Hopefully I'll know more when I get it home and see what drivers it has, etc. Cheers!
