#GVP Accelerators

Can anyone tell me their experiences with the GVP 68030 accelerators? I'm
looking at purchasing the 68030/25/1 without a harddrive for my Amiga 2000.
My 2000 currently has a 2286 BB, A2232 multi-port board, ICD adram, Supra
2400zi, microbotics hardframe 2000 with a 40 meg. quantum. I'm planning on
getting rid of the Hardframe and will use the GVP SCSI instead. Is my
system compatible with the GVP accelerator and how are the prices of RAM
upgrades for the board? Tnx Steve

I recently bought a G-Force 030 board for my 2000. I had no success
with it in my old (Rev 4) machine, but after upgrading to a new (Rev 6.2)
machine I just plugged it in and it worked first time. Speed is impressive
compared to a standard machine, although you may find that 1 meg of 32 bit
RAM doesnt go very far.
I have a 2 meg RAM expansion, and a trumpcard hard disk controller also
installed, and have had no problems with compatablility. That is all I have
installed at present, maybe someone else can give you more information on
compatibility with your exact setup.

I have a GVP '030/33 Combo Card (not made anymore) with 8meg 32 bit ram,
Quantum 105 and Ricoh 50 meg removable running from the scsi. No
compatibility problem with GVP HC8 SCSI Ram controller (2 meg 16 bit RAM,
quatmum 80 meg hd tied to its scsi) AD1012 board, MFC2000 (serial/parrallel
port card), and Video Toaster. No sign of compatibility problems….

I can't answer all your questions, but I have a GVP 33 mHz 68030 Combo
Board with 8-megs of 32-bit RAM and it performs flawlessly. (68030/33/8).
I highly recommend it.

P.S. The price for a 4-Meg RAM upgrade is about $225-$240.
