Anyone out there know how to connect a Zeos 486 IBM Compatible to my Amiga via the serial ports? I have tryed a rs232 cable and null modems but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. David B. Matheny ]/exit

A null modem cable should work – I've connected my 286 to my A500 before and it works fine.

Did you use a term program on each computer with the RS232 cable? Try using terms with matching protocols.

David, Yes…you can connect them via the serial ports…using a NULL modem cable. BUT, the question is, what do you plan on doing once they're connected? If it's to transfer files…then you need to run a terminal program on each end. If it's to have the MS-DOS machine act as a terminal to the Amiga, then you need to mount a device (such as AUX:) and open a CLI with input and output going to AUX:, if it's to network…then you need common networking software on each machine, and if it's anything else…then you'll have to let us know what you want to do before anyone could tell you how (of if it can be done) to do it.
