Hi Oxxi! I've been playing with Fast Eddie's Pool Billard and Billiard Parlor and find it to be like playing on my big table (well sorta B^) ) I had it installed on an A1000 but now that I'v got the A2000 working properly I installed it on it and have found that the speak feature of Fast Eddie during play doesn't work. The music plays when I return to the pool room after quitting a game, but the announcement of who won, and the comments of Fast Eddie stopped working. I'm using an GVP accelerator at 33MHZ and 4MB of 32 bit memory, 4MB of 16 bit memory, 2MB Agnus, 2MB of chip via the DKB board, and setcpu fastrom cache burst turned on. Any idea why it quit working? Other than that the game functions fine. In fact I think its helped improve my real pool game. Chris

Yes, the accelerator will interfere with the speech functions of the game. Glen Merriman, the program's developer, is now working full-time (for an Amiga developer, yay!), so his next version may be a bit delayed. I don't play "real" pool, but I did find that playing with Fast Eddies has boosted my appreciation of table games, especially snooker. I was in the UK recently while the Snooker Championships were on TV, and astounded the locals with my understanding and interest in the game. (Hey, they were amazed a "Yank" even knew the first thing about snooker!) Regards, Whap!penned… Pat @Oxxi (310) 427-1227

Just for your info Pat, One of the best games released last year (as voted by several mags) was Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker. Good graphics, playability, the lot. Released by Virgin games. Have fun :") Greg. – via Whap!
