The price for the MICROBIOTICS M1230 XA 50mhz is quite amazing here. I read in COMPUTER FORMAT that it is retailing at 325 pounds and 480 pounds with 4Mb of 32bit memory. As you suggest, better than the GVP unit. I think anybody considering the purchase of the 1200 would be impressed by those prices as it operates considerably faster than the 4000-30. According to the performance graphs only a kick in the shirt below the 4000-40.

Great to hear, Iain –as you point out, performance is much better than a 4000/30. We like the A1200 a lot here at MicroBotics. I would personally only buy a 4000/30 if I *definitely* knew I was going to need slots for something like a Toaster, etc. –Redmond

Or if you needed a second serial port, network connectivity, etc. My 1200 is still awaiting a monitor of it's own. The flipping switchbox was a non-optimal solution, and besides, it broke. // Brian — Cruising on AutoPilot….. \X/
