#CD-ROM Advice
2 messages in this thread
Hi Bob – I'm new to this forum and to the world of CD-ROM interfacing with
computers. If you or someone else in the forum can provide some advice on what
units and sound cards to checkout or stay away from I would appreciate the
input. If nothing else perhaps you could point me to someone or documented
experience regarding the purchase and use of the CD-ROM for computers.

Excuse my barging in, but you should read my book. It's called Technology Edge:
Guide to CD-ROM, it's available atB Dalton's, Software Etc., and other book
stores, and we wrote it for YOU! It's a complete guide to CD-ROM basics –
hardware, software, installing, troubleshooting, producing, buying – and best
of all it's only $30. I'm not telling you this because your purchase will make
me lots of money, either – I get only about 50 cents a book. (If you write a
book to make money, you'd better be Steven King.) Rich Bowers, our
distinguished SYSOP, reviewed it on this forum, and he was very generous with
his praise. (Whatta guy!)
