Hi Bob – I'm new to this forum and to the world of CD-ROM interfacing with computers. If you or someone else in the forum can provide some advice on what units and sound cards to checkout or stay away from I would appreciate the input. If nothing else perhaps you could point me to someone or documented experience regarding the purchase and use of the CD-ROM for computers. John Dunlavy

Excuse my barging in, but you should read my book. It's called Technology Edge: Guide to CD-ROM, it's available atB Dalton's, Software Etc., and other book stores, and we wrote it for YOU! It's a complete guide to CD-ROM basics – hardware, software, installing, troubleshooting, producing, buying – and best of all it's only $30. I'm not telling you this because your purchase will make me lots of money, either – I get only about 50 cents a book. (If you write a book to make money, you'd better be Steven King.) Rich Bowers, our distinguished SYSOP, reviewed it on this forum, and he was very generous with his praise. (Whatta guy!) Dana Parker
