Andrew, PMJI, I downloaded the demo and the 2 samples play fine on my system, BUT, very little is actually changing on the screen. It uses delta lossless compression, like fli's and flc's so you would have to be cautious with pixel changes/movement between each frame. I've never seen a system yet that could play even 8-bit flics at hires (640×480 for example) with every pixel moving between frames and not show tearing or slowing of some kind. Therefore the problem is going to be compounded with more colours. Rainbow Technologies who write the program are working on a 24-bit version which while it sounds exciting will be limiting in what can be done with it. Like I said, many of the principles that we learnt when creating flics will apply: don't have too much of the screen in motion at any one time, rotate the objects in place rather than moving the camera around the object, particularly when you have background detail, etc…
