Hello
I have a Toshiba 3401 CD ROM drive which supports multisession Photo CD. I
would like to begin using photo CD's. I believe that extra software is required
to access the photo CD's. I have seen ads for Kodak's product. Are there
others? Has anyone evaluated them? Has anyone seen a product review comparison
in the trade press?
Also, can someone tell me approximately what it might cost to bring in some
negatives and get a photo CD prepared?

You need some sort of graphics program thats PCD aware, Kodak has one, Photo
ACCESS, and just about all the new releases of Graphics packages will be
supporting them. There is a shareware package here on CIS that does a nice job.
As for pricing, its variable by vendor, I think BEST photo has a price list in
the CD-ROM vendor forum, you may also want to GO KODAK. They MAY have an SRB
price list or other vendors price lists in there libraries.

It's in Graphics Support. I think the forum format conversion library. Its
Graphics Workshop for Windows. Be careful that you get the correct one. There
is also a DOS version that MAY NOT have PCD support.
BTW. You have checked that your CD-ROM configuration is PCD compatable haven't
you?
