#Where to get PasTeX
7 messages in this thread
Does anyone know where I can get ahold of PasTeX 1.3 other than across the
internet? I have searched CIS and BIX and couldn't find PasTeX. My other
choice is to contact folks in Germany (expensive, slow, etc.).

Clark, is that on the AB20 CDROM disk? If it is, I could get it and upload it
for you next week, after I'm home again. I'll look and see if it is there
after I get home. It may not be the latest version, though. The AB20 disc is
probably a couple of years old now.

Thanks Betty,
Please look and see. I'd love to have this product.

I just got home, and checked on AB20 disk. It does have PasTex v
1.3, 1991. Is that recent enough? I have not looked to see how long
it is, and whether it can be uploaded. That would have to be checked
before I can do it.
Betty,
There is PasTeX, FIGs, and MetaFont. They are all public domain as near
as I can tell. No one has been able to tell me different. They expand to
a lot of floppies (25MB on a harddisk). I would be happy to upload these
if someone will get me the disks.

Clark,
25M is a LOT of disk space. I'll have to see what Steve says about that.
I suspect that demand for it would not be very large, and that it might be
best if people who want it get it from someone who will put it on disk and
mail it. Networks like CIS have to use their resources mostly for things
that are rather popular. We'd have to erase an awful lot of files to make
room for 25M of PasTex and support stuff.
I had no idea the program would take up that much space!

The 25MB is what it expands to, I think. But I'll know when I get it.
