#TP/24 & wd prcssg?

This may be a dumb question, but please bear with me; I'm new at this.
I have an A4000 and a HP DeskJet 550C, I'm using the CIS-online
driver called HPDJ55 because the Commodore "Desk_Jet" driver doesn't
know how to use the black cartridge in color printing, and I'm having
a "black-fading" problem, for which I am told the cure is a 3d-party
printer driver.
Lo and behold, after wading through the HUGE ADPro manual I find an
ad for "True Print / 24", which sounds like it would be wonderful,
EXCEPT that it only talks about "pictures", and my problem is "text"
fading.
My dealer doesn't, and won't, carry ASDG products, although she can
get them on special order; thus I have no local help, so here I am:
My main concern is with FinalCopyII, which is a "graphic
page-formatter" type of word-processor but which itself has
really-limited color range (although it can pass-through 24-bit
graphics, they claim): What is True Print / 24 going to think about
FCII's "concept" of black text? Does anybody use this combination?
BTW, I certainly wouldn't be asking about such a "high-priced"
printer driver if I wasn't, and didn't continue to be, absolutely
AMAZED by what Art Department Professional can do, and do so FAST; I
even get a kick out of the "old-style" gray control panels: Despite
what ADPro does, I guess there aren't any "cosmetic engineers"
working at ASDG, huh?
(… Or doesn't anyone ELSE read the IEEE Journal?…)
