Hi Folks! Just a short message to let you wonderful folk know that I am recovered (pneumonia), thanks for your considerations and kindness, that my blown system (lightening) has been taken to the dump and been replaced with a hoky little imitation of its former self, and that I am, generally, back in circulation. A word of caution! Don't let you house get struck by lightening. It doesn't do a whole lot of good to all the little electrical toys therein! Rgds Jan

Jan, did you check with your homeowner's insurance? When I suffered a lightning hit they cheerfully replaced everything, less the $100 deductible. Nill

<<<they cheerfully replaced everything,>>> cheerfully? I may want to switch carriers<g> FWIW Some homeowners policies have a $ cap on electronic products damage. Glen

Oh geez, Jan, didn't know you were ill, was beginning to wonder why I hadn't seen anything of you here. I just assumed it was because you were doing one of your whirlwind business concepts. Darn, had I known I would have sent a message. At any rate, glad to hear you are better, even if your computer isn't. Was hoping to see something of you at the Atlanta COMDEX and did have the delightful opportunity to finally meet our erstwhile SYSOP here. He was making vague sounds of perhaps going to the Fall COMDEX and I think we should all encourage him — well, not send money, but at least encourage him. And since I missed you in Atlanta perhaps you will get to Vegas again and we can *do* breakfast again. It still stands out as one of my most interesting moments at COMDEX. Cheers!
