What kind of CD ROM drive is supposed to be connected to the SBPRO card? Is it designed for a Panasonic CDROM? What kind of driver did you use with your SBPro Card for the Mitsumi CDROM. Thanks.

Charles I am not sure the previous message about connections was entirely clear. Anyway here is how my set up works 1) The Mitsumi comes with an interface card and drivers. I installed the card in my machine. This is the interface card that drives the CD ROM. 2) The audio connection (which is the smaller 4 wire cable) is the one that I connected from the Mitsumi to the SPBro. This is the one that requires the reverse wiring scheme described in one of my earlier messages. As a result – the Mitsumi runs with the version of MSCDEX etc that come with the drive and the audio feed plays through the SBPro. Hope this helps. Jim Cluchey

Jim, Thanks for your help. I have the Galazy sound card which I bought that has the Reveal name and I was hoping that the Mitsumi would be able to plug into it. The book for the sound card didn't have the pin out for the 4 prong audio input connector but by looking at the board and also copying the thread on here I rewired it correctly. Charlie

Charles Glad to be of assistance. Never thought about how the rewiring might apply to other cards. Interesting… Jim Cluchey
