Paul: Is the Herc Superstation XP a true frame buffer? It is reported to have 640X480X24Bit color out in NTSC resolution composite video. Can it be used as a replacement for the Targa+ in a typical 3DS disk to VTR animation setup softVTR etc. ? How would this XP differ in hookup/configuration vs. the Targa+. I thought you said you are using one of these cards in your many systems and might be able to educate me. Thanks Don Landis

Don, You would probably get a better answer from the Herc support guys about this, but I'll send you my opinions and a outline of our Herc use in an Email. Paul

Thanks for the reply. It wasn't for my system but for the same guy that had the AMI SCSI problem. He's been trying to get it to work and I didn't think the card is capable of emulating a targa+ as a frame buffer. I use the targa – Diaquest solution. Thanks again. Don Landis

Don, I believe Hercules has a new forum in the graphic vendors area. They should be able to help you! Steve Ormonde
