I have a client who is putting together a team of animators for litigation support work. If you have done any of this type of work, and are interested in doing more, please drop me an email with your name and phone number. Evan

Evan: I've seen some of the work done by Alec Jason on this stuff… I think he specializes in ballistics, but he may be able to handle other stuff too. In case this thread scrolls before he logs on, you might try dropping him a line at 71137,2632. He uses a Hercules Graphite VL for all his stuff, which is how I ran across him! -=> Jim

Evan, We are set up to do some small jobs. I am about to invest in a Diaquest, and a big Mag-Op storage device. What do you recommend for mass storage? Compatibility is a major issue. I will need to send out large files for broadcast quailty output until the bucks exist to buy the card and the VTR etc. Two guys here are good animators. Thanks, Pat

Pat: >> I will need to send out large files for broadcast quality output Just a reminder, that is what we do here! We utilize an AT-Vista hooked up to a Sony Laser disk recorder to lay off the frames, and then dub them to the format of your choice. We accept Colorado 120 or 250 meg tapes; or Unix 1/4" or 8mm Exabyte 2.3gig tapes. We also offer a rendering service when we aren't using it ourselves, with 14 486/66 machines with 48 megs each rendering out to 4 gigs of hard disk on a Sun network. Let me know if we can help! I have a client who is putting together a team … Evan, We are using 3DS with AutoCAD R12 to do visualization and animation of motor vehicle collisions and products related work. I have one full-time animator who has experience in Wavefront and 3DS. At the present time we are using a Sony EVO 9650 Hi-8 with a Targa. We can dub to any format however.
