Hi. Does anybody know where can I find more message databases, like the one you've got here (Message Infobase)? I downloaded it and I'm amazed! Unfortunately, it only covers two or three months. If there is no more files of that kind, do you plan to compile some more? I guess everybody would love it as I would. Thanks.

Pablo, those infobases were compiled by a forum member (Mike Morrison 70413,3450) and I don't think he has any plans to do it again. I have messages going back about a year but it's in CIM format and I don't have any plans to do it either – it sounds like a lot of work <g>.

Martin: I _might_ consider doing it, but I lack any sort of search engine. Is there anything around that you (or anyone else) know of that's share/free-ware? I'd probably need to get your CIM stuff, as I only have a complete message set from early this year when I switched to TAPCIS. Before that, I used to scan through, delete sections I didn't want, then print them out with the idea of color-code tabbing the pages based on subject. Whoo-boy. Now I've got several binders full, no tabs, and I just sit around thinking what a dummy I was. Dave

David, Mike Morrision used folio views(?) to compile the messages. I'm not clear on how it's done and what's involved. If it was relatively painless I'd probably do it. A freeware database should do it but I don't know of any – it's not really my area <g>.

Well, okay. I'll sniff around. You — you just try to find your "area" and stay there, Mr. I'm-too-important-to-figure-out-how-to-help-humanity!<g> Dave

I thought I already helped a small section of humanity by monitoring this forum every day for the last 2 years, answering any question I could. Oh well, if that's enough I guess I just can't win 'em all <g>.

David, Now that you've made Martin feel about 2" tall..<g>…what are you looking for specifically ??? Cause somewhere in all my mess and stacks of disks, I've got just about every message that was ever posted to this board. Only problem is that they are in section/thread order and in 3 meg chunks (about 5000 messages for each file).
