I am having trouble getting 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego' CD-ROM edition to run. The Sound card is a PAS-16, and the CD-ROM is a Toshiba 3401 off an Ultrastor 14F. Sound tends to skip out erratically, sometimes disappearing until mouse is moved or clicked. Eventually the program locks up. There is no hardware DMA or IRQ conflict. Only thing I can guess is that the game wants to use IRQ 5 for PAS sound, but the PAS is set for IRQ 7. The mouse uses IRQ 5. Anyone have specific experience with this software? Thanks, Chip

Chip, You guessed the problem and here is Broderdund's response. Sorry! 🙂 They hard coded sound to IRQ 5 only…. Scott
