#Books?
3 messages in this thread
Im interested in learning to program C. I have a played a little with
Pascal (a years worth in high school in 1986).
Could anyone recomend any books that are SAS\C Specific? I'd like to
read before purchasing the software.
Thanks,

Tom,
I have yet to see an Amiga SAS/C specific book out there, although is
might be possible. Your best bet is to lay your hands on the various RKM
(Rom Kernal Manual) books for the Amiga carried by Addison-Wesley. They
should all work fairly nicely with SAS/C.
Another thought is that you might consider downloading the DICE C
compiler from online here and giving it a whirl. While it doesn't have
all the bells and whistles, yet, of SAS/C, it may do what you want. It's
the compiler of choice in my case and a heck of a lot cheaper.

Don't bother reading before buying SAS/C — just buy it! 🙂 I used Manx
Aztec C for several years and just recently made the switch. My only
regret is that I didn't switch sooner.
