While I was at the Search & Read Menu of this Forum yesterday, my screen
blinked and a message appeared at the bottom of the screen. This was a
Real-Time message and the person, who sent it, seem to know that I was calling
in from overseas. I presume that it could only be a Sysop that could send a
message like this, and would be aware of my ID while I was online. Of course, I
could be wrong and not aware that Real-Time messaging is available within the
Forums! Err, is it?

Anybody with a six-digit prefix on their UID is an overseas or foreign user, I
believe. We privileged Yanks have five-digit prefixes.

Anyone can send messages while online. All you have to do is preface them
with SEN. You have to know the 'job number' of the person to whom you
send the message. You can get that by typing 'UST.' This gets a list of
people who are in the forum at that time, with the job number in front of
their names. Then, just 'SEN # message' to the person you want to
contact. If they are using an automated program such as AutoPilot, they
probably won't see and answer, but if they are working 'live', they
probably will.
