Person who try to use DB-25 on SCSI-II is person asking for worlds of hurt
pain suffering and general headaches. At the VERY least get one with all
50 wires up to the DB-25 end. Note that the DB-25 abortion is *NOT* repeat
*NOT* an approved SCSI connector for ANY revision of SCSI except that
residing in Macinheads.

Right. As I'm sure you know, the purpose for having 50 pins on SCSI (and all
ribbon cables) is to get a ground between EVERY signal.
The 50 pin "DB-like" connector is a high density connector, similar in nature
to a VGA connector, which is NOT a DB-15, but has 15 pins in a DB-9 size shell,
again, as you know!
I'm glad you've jumped in the pool on the issue of drive speeds and other SCSI
myths. Thanks! Hopefully your credibility will be greater than my biased view
from a third party developer 🙂 🙂

Actually, it was SCSI-II <–> Centronics connector. Does that combo
offend you? For some strange reason, the Texel SCSI-2 CD-ROM uses the
"old" style connector.
