does anyone know how to get a message to
jeskos@informatik.rwth-aachen.de???
Sean.
Well, you'll have to give us more information than that. Do you mean, for
example, that putting >INTERNET: in front of it doesn't work, or haven't you
tried that yet?
No what I mean is that if you put INTERNET in fron the user comes back as
unknown.. I "think" that the system is a USENET (?) sys so I'm not sure if
I've got to go through some gateways to get there….. any ideas??
Sean.
Most gatewaying these days is handled transparently. That is, the network
software knows how to get to other networks. If a given address doesn't work,
you can try forcing it through some other site. I thought Compuserve connected
to UUNET though, and they're supposed to be well-connected…
Ah I see (said the blind man)!
🙂 I think that it'll help though in my understanding of the MATRIX.
Sean.
p.s. Thanks for the answer.
p.p.s. Is UUNET part of USENET or a service?
UUNET is a big machine that provides UUCP/USENET feeds for a fee.
