Chris This could possibly be the problem. How would I go about changing the video mode that is being used. Should this be in the install procedure? I'll look this over and give it a try. Glenn

Glenn– To run Battle Chess, you'll need to change to standard VGA mode using the Windows setup utility. You can run setup either from DOS or from Windows, but you'll need to exit Windows and restart before the change will take effect. The requirement to run in standard VGA is one of the reasons that I don't run Battle Chess more often. It's just too much of a hassle to change my video mode just to play that one game. Too bad, it's sort of fun with the animations and all. –Chris

Chris, Does the fact that I do not use Windows have anything to do with it? Or just by changing the setup in the Windows version will correct the problem? Glenn

Glenn– Whoops! I mistakenly jumped to the conclusion that you were using the Windows version of the program. Sorry about that. Disregard all my previous comments–I don't know what I'm talking about <g>. Guess that nasty looking knight should come over to my square and rough me up a bit. As for the DOS version of Battle Chess, I'm afraid I can't offer any advice. –Chris
