Bill:
To get OS/2 2.1 retail version to work properly with Sony's CDU31a you must
copy the sonyb31a.add file to the config.sys file that runs OS/2 and also
include the IFS file, or in otherwords, what I did after many hours of trial
and error, was to copy EVERYTHING from the 2nd diskette (from the CD package
from IBM for installing OS/2 2.1 retail) CONFIG.SYS file that even resembled
reference to CD's to the config.sys file after installing the retail version.
Good Luck. When you get the CD icon under Drives and see the CD icon on the
Windows 3.1 Drive line under File Manager, then you should celebrate because
you should have access.
