It uses an IDE-like cable. But in reality it is neither IDE nor SCSI but more
like a dumb (and slow) printer port. So calling it an IDE-like interface just
means it looks like one mechanically, but defintely is not electrically.

That's not very encouraging. I had hoped to expand my options regarding
drives. I guess I will have to stick with the 521 that came with the package,
until I can afford to upgrade the whole system to SCSI(2?) some time in the
future. Thanks for the info.
