I agree! Someday people will wise up and stop buying on impulse.
I don't rely on reviews or dealer advice, I need to see it run first
hand. Take a look at some of the latest PC games for instance… "Myst",
"Dracula" (the one by Viacom), all the magazine reviews raved about these
games! My ex boss picked them up as soon as they hit the stores, too bad
for him becuase I think they are both crap. Want another example, "Iron
Helix". Run this puppy and bring up the Windows task window only to see it
appear between the game screen layers. And thats if it even runs at all

Then we have MultiMedia Toolbook for $795. Another one they raved about,
and another big hunk of sh*t. How about Visual Basic for a prototype tool?
Not bad as long as you stay away from most third party custom controls.
There is not any easy was to "check out" software like this.
