Hello all! I'm new to Amiga computers and am in dire need for someone to
send me a good shareware or PD term program for my new computer
Can any one hepl or maybe can someone point me to a program that works on an
IBM that allows me to write to Amiga formatted disk? Oh,
I have an A1200. Thanks for any help!
There are several good SW or PD term programs. Terminus, Term, Ncomm are
the better known. They most likely are here. I have never heard of a
program for IBM that reads or writes Amiga. Since you have a 1200, the
CrossDOS program that is included with AmigaDOS 3.0 can read and write
IBM though.
Richard -> AutoPilot on the A1000, the only Amiga without the C= logo.
Thanks for the help Richard. I've gotten CrossDOS to work but it won't see
any of the files I have on the MSDOS disk allready. What I'm trying to do is
put a term program on the MSDOS disk and then transfer it over to the 1200.

First make sure you are looking at PC0: or PC1: or whatever Amiga drive your
MS-DOS disk is in. Also remember being MS files there will be no .info files so
there will be no icons when you open the drawer on the Workbench. Since you
will need to copy the files, go to the shell, do a DIR PC0: (or PC1:) and that
should show the IBM files on the MS-DOS disk. Then just copy to you
destination.

PMFJI, But since the files have no .info file extensions, an easier way to get
the files through WB.
Go to the WINDOWs menu then down to the second from bottom entry (FILES) only
files should be selected. Then go across to SHOW ALL and select it.This should
bring up all of the unseen files on the MS DOS disk. You can now copy them
across as normal.
