So do you think it's a design failure which all 1200/1960 are suffering or a problem only with certain individual machines? If the former, then a change of monitor is the solution? But if the latter a change of chips (maybe cheaper)? You would not happen to know would you – or anyone else? The monitor worked perfevtly with my flicker-fixed A500+. I have an M1230XA 50/50 fitted to my machine as well and I am quite pleased with it's performance. I don't think it contributes to any monitor problems. Mind you, I had the opportunity to fit a 17" SVGA monitor to the Commodore Amiga – or should that be Samsung Amiga 🙂 but there was no good picture there either. IAIN.
