It does help, particularly the Speedometer rating,
since someone who responded to a similar query I'd
placed in comp.sys.mac.hardware was kind enough to
send me a Speedometer rating for an Xceed card.

I too have been using a Lapis PDS card for the Mac SE/30 for about a year
and a half and have been very pleased. I am driving an E-Machine T-16II which
my video card will drive up to 24 bit at 832X624
