CDROM Help! I'd like to obtain a program which can convert an Amiga hard drive into an ISO 9660 'image' so I can deliver it to ANYONE with a standard CDROM 'burner' system. The outfits I've contacted to burn a CDROM can only accept either MSDOS-formatted hard drives or 'ready to go' ISO 9660 'imaged' drives. My first CDROM project is 'ready to burn' – but it's on an Amiga hard drive and has some info files I want to leave there which CAN'T be transferred over to an MSDOS-formatted hard drive under MSDOS (MSDOS cuts off the extension to 3 letters max). The CDROM I'm making has files in several formats for all PC users (Amiga, 'clone', Mac, etc.) but I want to leave the Amiga icon files in place for Amiga folks to feel right at home with it – and there's the rub. If I eliminate the icon files, I could just copy everything over to an MSDOS drive and take it to the CDROM guy, but I don't want to give up the Amiga'ness of this CDROM. Hence, the answer is a program to generate the generic system- independent ISO 9660 image on my hard drive and take that to the CDROM guy. Commodore had one for CD32 developers ONLY, but Commodore is in a bit of a fix right now 🙂 – so Anybody know of a commercial or PD/shareware program which can do the ISO 9660 imaging on an Amiga? Too bad those CDROM guys have systems which can only do the ISO 'image' from an MSDOS drive.
